Transport damage

VARDE Ovne A/S ships with external freight companies and therefore all shipments must be inspected immediately after delivery.

  • In case of visible, minor transport damages, the following must be noted on the consignment note: “Received with reservation for shortages and damage”, along with a short description of the damage (e.g. damaged/broken packaging, overturned goods etc.). Have the delivery driver/carrier confirm this by his signature and keep a copy of the waybill as documentation. If you are in doubt, reject the shipment.
  • In case of major damage, reject the shipment and do not sign the waybill. The carrier must return the goods.
    VARDE Ovne will be notified and can send new items. You are also welcome to call us at +45 7482 0003 to resolve the matter as quick as possible.

If you are not at home and the delivery has been made without a receipt, we expect that the item has been checked within 24 hours and that any damage has been reported to us within this period of time.

IMPORTANT! Take photos of the item where it has been placed by the carrier. Do not move or unpack the goods. When photos have been taken, the item may be moved into the garage/shelter, but do not unpack the pallet/package.

Send detailed written information regarding the damage along with photo documentation to VARDE Ovne immediately after delivery to: sales@vardeovne.dk

Hidden transport damages must be reported to VARDE Ovne no later than 24 hours after receiving the goods.

ATTENTION! – If the above is NOT complied with, the possibility of compensation will no longer apply – ATTENTION!


Complaints / Warranty

If you have been so unlucky that something on your wood-burning stove is broken, please complete our warranty form.

Once we have received your warranty claim, we will process it as quickly as we can and help you to the best of our ability. You are entitled to submit a complaint within two years of the purchase date of your stove.

We think about the environment

We think it is important that our stoves are not an
unnecessary environmental burden. Therefore, we have
made sure that every single VARDE stove has been
subjected to careful testing by independent testing
agencies for environmental impact. 

All VARDE wood-burning stoves are compliant with
Danish regulations and standards, which are among the
very strictest in the EU. This means that a VARDE wood-burning
stove stands out as a top class environmental product
among the many stoves that are available.
