Today, floor plates are not just a safety measure, but also an essential part of the wood-burning stove's overall finish.
If your wood-burning stove is placed on a combustible floor, it must be covered with a non-combustible material such as a steel plate, glass plate, or tiles.
If the wood-burning stove is placed on a combustible floor, the non-combustible floor plate must be large enough to comply with minimum distances. To the sides min. 15 cm and in front min. 30 cm. However, 50 cm is recommended.
At VARDE, we offer floor plates in both steel and glass.
